Big Bad Wolf Ipoh 2015 Madness!

First of all, Selamat Hari Raya / Happy Eid Mubarak!

I haven't been blogging much here but then again, I haven't been blogging much anywhere. For the whole of Ramadhan, I was busy with other projects. I planned to finish it before Ramadan ends but well, that didn't go as planned now, did it?

But the best thing is that Big Bad Wolf came to Ipoh early this month! It was their 2nd sale in Ipoh. Last year it was great, but it was way too crowded, not a lot of choices and the queues to pay were horrible. Fortunately, this year, they've improved a lot and the layout was better and more books!

I just thought I'd write a quick post here mentioning the sale and to show off my stash. I went crazy this year and spent way, I mean WAY over my planned budget so Raya this year was... well... pretty much not celebrated. I've been completely broke. I also had to fix my car. Again, the full story will be at my other blog.

If I'm not mistaken, I bought a total of 77 books this year.

At first I thought I'd just get a few Lejen Press & Fixi books, then a few other novels but I didn't expect to find so many good non-fiction titles this year. So on the first day, I spent a couple of hours only at the non-fiction sections. I didn't even visit the fiction section as I had an extremely limited budget. I didn't want to go home disappointed, unable to afford something I want. Ignorance is bliss, I always say.

I did find quite a selection of books about writing! I was so surprised. I didn't expect for them to have so many Lejen books as well considering last year they barely had any malay books.

I made a 2nd trip a week later because I sent my car for repair at the KIA service center which was nearby so I thought why not, right? I had time to kill on that day and I've received RM20 voucher after my first purchase that I wanted to spend on 3 novels. The fact that there were fewer people there in the morning compared to the first day made it easier for me to browse the fiction section peacefully. 

I ended up finding and buying about 16 adult fictions, which, I didn't expect to be available at the sale at all. Pretty awesome surprise, I'd say. 

I also found a really awesome notebook with zombies on the cover because zombies are awesome.
